I am on the edge of the city or in the suburbs - is it far to get there?›
We stay in the centre and on Krasnaya - the hub that is easy to reach from any district and from the outlying areas. After the game the whole of evening Krasnodar is at hand: from the embankment to the bars is a couple of steps.
Summer in Krasnodar is hot - do we play in stuffy rooms?›
No. In season we move to terraces and into the shade by the park, and at the peak of the heat and in winter we sit in air-conditioned anticafes and coffee houses. We choose the venue for the weather in advance, so that being at the board is comfortable rather than a matter of survival.

Knowing how the knight moves is enough. The pairs are dealt out by the Swiss system and the opponent is matched by strength, so the evening does not end in a run of routs. If you have forgotten castling or en passant, the host will remind you before the first round.
