The well-known «the queen does not beat a bishop's pawn» exception only applies when the stronger side's king is far away. If the king can get across, the defence's stalemate resource disappears and the queen takes the pawn.
Here White has the king on e7 and a pawn on f7; Black has the king on b5 and the queen on a2. Black to move, and Black wins (per the tablebases): the queen brakes the pawn with checks while the king arrives in time to help.
The lesson: the rook's- and bishop's-pawn exceptions are not a verdict. Everything turns on how far away your king is: a nearby king turns a «drawn» pawn into a won one.
Drag a piece onto the board, or click a piece and then click the squares. The cross beside the pieces sweeps every piece of that colour off the board, and a single piece can be dragged off the edge.
The pieces will be arranged into the chosen pattern.

Sometimes: without your own king the queen is hampered by stalemate. With the king brought up the position is won.
Every time the queen's check forces the opponent to blockade the pawn, make one king move.
Whether the enemy king has a move. If not, it is stalemate and the game is drawn.
