White to move, mate in one. This is the epaulette mate: the black king is wedged between two of his own rooks, which act like epaulettes and take away his escape squares themselves.
The black king is on e8 with his rooks either side, on d8 and f8. The white queen stands on h3, and the e-file is open.
The solution is Qe6 mate. The queen goes to e6 and mates down the open e-file: d7 and f7 are under fire from the queen, and d8 and f8 are taken by Black's own rooks. Black's extra material is no help - the king has nowhere to go.
