The Leningrad Variation of the Dutch combines ...f5 with a fianchetto of the bishop on g7: 1.d4 f5 2.g3 Nf6 3.Bg2 g6 4.Nf3 Bg7 (ECO A87). In spirit it is a mixture of the Dutch and the King's Indian.
Black gets an active, dynamic position aimed at the kingside and the centre (with the ...e5 break). Unlike the Stonewall, the bishop on g7 is active and the structure more flexible, though the e6 square and the king are a shade more exposed.
The Leningrad is the most combative and ambitious way to play the Dutch with Black. The choice of anyone who wants a complicated game for a win against 1.d4.
